09 budget earmarks & John McCain

Lately John McCain has been denouncing Barack Obama for earmarks in the 09 budget, something that is unsettling to most of us, unless you see the entire picture.
Obama inherited this budget from George Bush with those earmarks, something that McCain fails to tell everyone.
Obama says that time is of the essence to try and fix our economy and he doesn't have the time to haggle over this years budget. He knows that if he sends it back to Congress, we'll fall even deeper into this recession, something that Obama doesn't want to happen. The president hasn't said much about it because he knows that he has to move ahead with the enormous problems that our country is facing.

So when you hear guys like John McCain complaining about earmarks in the budget, remember, the 09 budget was put together on Bushes watch. 40% of the earmarks that John McCain is complaining about are from Republicans! The President feels that he has no choice right now but to accept the budget as it is, but he promises that next years budget will be with much less pork.

John McCain is sponsoring a bill that would allow the president to use "line item veto" for earmarks, but we'll have to wait and see if it becomes law.

Like Rush Limbaugh, who seems to be speaking for the GOP these days, John McCain is trying to make Obama look like a back tracker on earmarks, but he can only fool people that want Obama to fail, not those of us who know the truth and want him to succeed. Remember, if Obama fails, we ALL fail.
