Bush Tax cuts and more......
Hello, I hope that you all have now seen the "first dance" video performed for Barack Obama and his wife Michelle and performed by Beyonce. It was stunning to say the least. If that video doesn't move you, then nothing will.
The new week begins tomorrow. I'm sure that we'll hear more about the economy, the middle east and whatever happens in between. I wish we could start just one week off with some good news for a change, but that would be asking too much of this crazy world that we live in. I've been on this planet for a long time and the one thing that has caught my attention, the further we move ahead, the more complex things get. They wonder why people use drugs & alcohol. Our jobs are leaving at a fast rate for Mexico, India, China and thanks to George Bush, South America. Homes are being foreclosed on, banks are failing and tomorrow, we'll, who knows if there will be a tomorrow for most of us. All we have to look forward to is, Barack Obama doing the things needed to create some new "green jobs" which cannot be outsourced, and turning our economy around. N.A.F.T. A. and other free trade treaties should all be "canceled" and rewritten to protect American workers and slow the exodus of our jobs.
I wonder sometimes where our children will find a good paying job in the future. We prep them for college, yet at the same time we "allow" good paying jobs to leave the country! Corporations use this leverage to lower employee wages, eliminate health insurance and cut back on hours an employee can work. If employees complain too much, then they threaten to close their doors and move their jobs overseas! These corporate CEO's at the same time give "themselves" huge multiple million dollar bonuses and collect big paychecks all the while their employees suffer with low wages and no health insurance! This doesn't sound like the America that I grew up in, and something has to change.
The next time you hear someone complain about Obama abolishing those George Bush tax cuts for those big American companies, just remember that those same companies are the ones responsible for sending your jobs overseas faster than you can wink your eye. Believe me, they're not interested in creating jobs here, what they want is to USE the "slave labor" in China and other third world countries in order to pad their own bank accounts! So why should we reword them with Bush tax cuts? This seems like a no brainier to me. They do not deserve a tax break as long as they continue to send our jobs overseas.
So don't be fooled by what the Republicans tell you, they're in the pockets of big business. Tax cuts should be the reward for those who save our jobs, not outsource them!
