Alcohol & Drug Treatment Center

Back in the fifties, my Aunt who was a nurse, helped to open "Brighton Hospital" for recovering alcoholics just outside of Brighton Michigan. Ana's Birthday is today, Hannah's is the 28th

It's Ana's Birthday today, she's an old lady of 28! LOL I don't know what we're going to do to celebrate, maybe nothing right now because Hannah's birthday is only four days away on the 28th. I guess we'll celebrate them both then, but mostly for Hannah who will be just (2)two years old! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to both of my girls!

Ana was just saying how time has been passing by so fast lately. The truth is, time passes by very fast everyday, it's just that we don't think about it. It seems like just the other day when my friend ED passed away, that was on Mothers Day 1988! I still remember getting the call. He died of a heart attack at only 45 years old after having an argument with his girlfriend. It just goes to show you that getting too excited about something can in some instances be fatal! It was for him.
I was just reading the other day that Elvis died because his digestive system was all bound up from using so many drugs. He was trying to go to the bathroom and the straining on his bowels caused him to have a heart attack. He should have never died. So the bottom line, take it easy on that old heart of yours, because when it's strained enough, like an old tire it's going to blow out!

Barack Obama's grandmother is gravely ill

I just wanted to inform everyone that Barack Obama's grandmother is gravely ill in Hawaii. He will fly there tomorrow to be by her side, returning Saturday to resume campaigning. We hope she completely recovers, so she can see her grandson become President. Our prayers go out to Barack and his family in his time of crisis. Election time is near!

The election is just days away and John McCain is doing everything he can to divert attention from the issues, something the voters really don't like. I guess that he's out of ideas, so it's attack the opponent and hope that he can scare people into voting for him.
The bottom line is, Senator McCain will soon be back in Arizona checking up on his 7 houses and 13 cars, he'll have a lot of time to spend on taking care of all his beloved possessions. Sarah Palin will go back to Alaska to her Polar Bears and Eskimos, check up on her "bridge to nowhere" and hopefully we won't hear or see her again for a very long time...if ever!
General Colin Powell has decided to endorse Barack Obama. This is not going to go well for him in the Republican party, but remember, Joe "6 pack" Lieberman ran over to their side, so this looks like an even exchange to me!

Obama/McCain Presidential Debate

What did you think of the debate? I cannot understand McCain's $5,000.00 proposed health care voucher. If a person is out of work, tell me who's going to sell that person health insurance? I like Obama's idea, that whether your working or not, you can still get coverage. McCain is just out of touch. He tried the same old tactics of trying to make Barack look too risky to be the President, but from what I've been reading, it didn't work. You can be sure that the last debate will heat up even more. John McCain is really out of ammunition, so now he's going to have to use hand to hand combat, unfortunately hand to hand combat don't win wars! I think if you could look McCain's body all over, you'd find one of those "pop-up" devices (like they put in turkeys) showing that this guy is done! LOL

Sarah Palin is trying to link Barack to "Domestic Terrorists". Yesterday people were heard yelling "KILL HIM" at a rally. The Secret Service is investigating. They said that they take all threats serious. Look what happened to the Kennedy's. What Palin failed to tell the people was, many Republicans were also seen with William Ayers that day.

Sarah Palin is one of the worst candidates that I've ever seen run for Vice President. She's even worse than "Dan Quayle", George H.W. Bush's VP who couldn't spell POTATO..E if you still remember him. Knock, knock...hello, I'm back...but now I'm a woman! These darn dejavue things just kill me!I don't know how Palin was ever elected Governor of Alaska. They must have Polar Bears voting up there!

6' long "Bee" nest in our chimney!

I think that I told you before that we've been having a "Bee" problem, they're getting into our house somehow. Anyway, we hired Terminix to get rid of the pests. Yesterday the man came and looked all over our house, but couldn't find where they were getting in, then Ana said to him, "I ve been seeing some go into the chimney". So he went up on the roof to take a look. As he peared down into the chimney, he quickly turned around and said, "man you've got a nest down there that looks about 6 feet long" I'll bet you there's at least 2,000 Bees in it! But as luck would have it, he couldn't do anything about it because Terminix has Insurance that won't allow their workers to go up on a roof to do a job. When he left he said that he would have his office call us Monday about the problem, and if they decide that they can't do the job, they would recommend someone who could. I've never had a problem like this before, but I'll tell you that it's not comfortable to sit in your house with "Yellow Jackets" flying all around your head! More bzzzzz to come later...
