Baseballs opening day & politics

Monday again and raining in Detroit. This is opening day for baseball, I don't know if the Tigers will get their game in or not since the weather man says there will be showers all day. The Tigers are supposed to have one of the better teams this year, so we're hoping that they can go all the way, something this town could use right now, a deversion from the recession.

I don't know if John McCain should be president, why you say, because of his age. If he were to serve two terms, he'd be eighty years old on this final year in office. He's already showing signs of mental laps with his latest Al Quaeda screw ups, he said it three times so I hear,so it wasn't just a slip of the tongue. Anyway, we have time to decide who we'll vote for, I want to hear everything come debate time between the two nominees. Again, I really don't care much for any of the candidates

How this will ever be properly administered, I don't really know. The computer age is making many unattainable items attainable, both legal and illegal and where it will stop is any ones guess.

Clinton, Lieberman & McCain

These Clinton's are making me sick, especially Bill Clinton. Why don't he just bud out. This guy has caused much of the problems that we see in our country today. Isn't he the one who signed the NAFTA treaty, which led to thousands of jobs leaving the country? Now he wants to help his "misleading" wife get the Democratic nomination, and at any cost so it seems.
Believe me, I'm not that fond of McCain either. He doesn't even know whats going on with Al Quaeda or where they are so it seems. Good thing he took Joe Lieberman with him to Iraq, otherwise he'd be in big trouble with his Al Quaeda comments. By the way, what the heck is Lieberman doing with him in the first place? Strange bed fellows, don't you think? The one good thing about all this wrangling, I don't think that much about Bush anymore...and what was that idiot vice presidents name again?

Do we need someone in office that lies to make herself look better? How anyone could support her now is unbelievable to me. NAFT, which she supported and now says she didn't, has "helped" opened the door so our jobs could leave this country by the millions. Think people, this is (at best) a BS'er of the highest level. Let's get this over with and get Obama in there against McCain ASAP, and forget this lying woman. Don't be a "FOOL" and vote for this woman. After hearing all her "misspeakings", do you really want her answering that phone at three AM?

Obama, your pastor is wrong!

Like many people, I was shocked to say the least at this new development about Obama. I guess this just goes to show you that we're all not perfect. Rev. Wright needs his mouth washed out with soap and sent back to school if you ask me, because he seems to have forgotten that we were also ATTACKED at Pearl Harbor in 1941, which killed another 3,000 Americans! I didn't hear him say anything about that. Anyway, my mothers friend was in Pearl Harbor working as a nurse that fateful day, I still remember her telling us about what she saw, it wasn't pretty. Those two bombs were dropped on Japan to end the war, not as Rev. Wright suggests...target innocent Japanese people as on 9/11. If those bombs were not dropped, there would have been many more casualties than there were. No doubt about it, this man must have never taken a history class! I would expect him to say that the Holocaust never happened either. Rev. Wright, you're a complete idiot!
This does not in anyway mean that I won't vote for Obama, it just makes me want to hear more from him before I decide. I do like how he can bring people together. Former President Eisenhower's niece is supporting him along with many moderate Republicans, she didn't seem to distance herself from Obama after this story broke, so we'll see what develops. More on this topic later, so stay tuned.

Tiana is still sick

I took Tiana to see her Doctor today because she started her vomiting again last night. We thought that she was better but looks can be deceiving. The Doctor said that the flu is going around and lasts about 4 or five days, so she should be getting over it soon. We will send her back to school tomorrow, hopefully I won't get any more phone calls from them. The school shuts down for a week starting Monday so this should give her a good opportunity to get back on her feet, that's if she still has some of the bug left in her.
We're supposed to get rain tonight and tomorrow so that won't help anything. Stay warm and dry wherever you are...see you next post!

Tiana is still sick/gas guzzlers

Tiana vomited again this morning and once last night before she went to bed. I don't know what's wrong with her. We'll watch her over the weekend, if she's not better by Sunday night then we'll have to make an appointment to see her Doctor. You how it goes though, she probably picked something up at school from one of the kids. Not all the kids look like their parents cleaned them up properly before sending them off to school. Most likely many parents don't have the time in the morning, as in many families these days both parents have to work to make ends meet. It's a mad rush to their cars in the morning after dropping off their kids, so this alone should tell you something...It's that "gotta get to the job" before I'm late syndrome! Kids just don't get the family time anymore like we did growing up. Things cost too much and it takes two incomes just to survive until the next paycheck. Do you know that most working families have little or no savings in the bank? This is a tragedy, since this is America were talking about. If we continue to live on "plastic" money, we're sure to have big problems in the future...plastic stretches only sooooo far!

People, if you know of someone about to buy a gas guzzling SUV or other such type of vehicle, please do your best to talk them out of it. It's time that all of us stop and think about what we're doing to our environment, not to mention our pocketbooks. Tiana was sick today

It's starting to look more and more like spring here in Michigan. Today was one of the best days we've had for a while, I just hope that it stays that way.

The school called today and said that Tiana had vomited in her classroom. After I brought her home she vomited several times before it stopped. I don't know what caused the her to be sick but it seems to have stopped now. We had KFC for our dinner tonight, and her sickness appears to have passed. We'll put her to bed a little early tonight and see she's better in the morning.

Tim stopped by yesterday and brought Hannah some clothes he bought for her. He wasn't sure they would fit her but Ana said that they would be just fine. He had some fun with both of the kids and they loved seeing him again.

I've had an eye infection

I think I have the pink eye

I have been sick in the last couple of weeks. My eye has been bothering me. I might have the "pink-eye". It is quite bothersome to me especially when I have to go out every weekday to take our daughter to school. The weather has contributed to how bad the condition of my eye is getting. My eye is getting really irritated and red, and it feels watery. I have to literally use ice and wet paper towel to prevent my eye from hurting so much. I may have to go to an eye Doctor, but I will wait for a while in case I get better. I learned my lesson going to the Doctor the last time, I paid thousands of dollars, and if I do it again, I will end up paying the same amount of money. It scares me because I don't really have the money to burn. I tell you, hospital bills here are overwhelming when you don't have a lot of money.
