We won't forget you this Christmas!
I just wanted to take this opportunity to remind everyone not to forget our troopes around the world this Christmas. For our family this is going to be a sad Christmas because my grandson will be deploying to Afghanistan (Army)so he won't be with us this Christmas, yet he'll be in our hearts. Sometimes we take this life that has been given to us very lightly, that is until something happens, then we are suddenly reminded that it doesn't last forever. Sometimes loved ones that we think will always be with us are suddenly taken away...it's not always the old that go first! I saw this happen to my Aunt who raised me. I received a call one night that her son had suddenly passed away, he was only 45 years old. He died of a heart attack the day after Christmas. I had to break the news to her. It was the sadist day of her life. You couldn't imagine the look on her face when I told her what had happened. No one wants to out live their children, and no one knows the pain a parent suffers from an experience like that. She never really recovered and spent many years crying for her son, I had to endure seeing her slowly loose her will to live. Then she finally died too, I believe from a broken heart.
So this Christmas please remember our loved ones that can't be with us, either because they are serving our country elsewhere, or have since passed on. We will not forget them. Please play video below. (speakers on)

hello .....
hello sir,
that is a sad story
makes want to think of my brother who is also away.
thanks!
Sterndal,
If this post makes you think of someone you love, then the post did it's job. I was lucky enough to be able to tell my best friend what he meant to me just before he passed away, I'll always be grateful for that opportunity. Don't let a moment pass without telling someone "I love you", three simple words that mean so much! Again thanks for your comment and Merry Christmas..
