“Barack the Magic Negro,”
Did any of you hear about the parody song put out by GOP candidate Chip Saltsman about Barack Obama? If not, you can read about the song by clicking on the link I've provided. He is trying to say that it's just a "joke" and nothing is meant by it, yet anyone with common sense knows that that's not true at all. Listen, I grew up in a Republican household and I know how blacks are thought of, and "negro" is not what is used...the "N" word is what they really mean, believe me I know first hand.
I decided long ago that I didn't want to live my life by thinking of minorities like that. I believe that all people are created "equal", and to prove that I really mean what I say, I bought a house in an almost black neighborhood! Now what do you think about that?
Yes, I stand by my beliefs and vote that way too. I thought that Obama was the best candidate, so I voted for him, it had nothing to do with his color. Had the GOP had a better candidate running, then I may have voted the other way. But the GOP didn't, and I just couldn't see taking the chance on Sarah Palin becoming president. This woman was not qualified to be either vise president or "my gosh" just think of it..our President! Talk about McCain's running mate choice...Dah!
Joking about the color of a persons skin boils my blood and this should not be accepted in a 1st world society, whether you're a Republican or a Democrat. Stand up for what is right, and joking about a persons race is just plain wrong.
Many of you who read my Blog are from the Philippines, so don't think that you are thought of as "equals' either by some whites. Most of the GOP members are whites and they prefer it that way, so don't kid yourself. But please..they do want your votes come election time!
This "idiot" Saltsman hopefully will pay the price at the ballot box and this sort of thing should not be tolerated. Rush Limbaugh is another one who needs his mouth washed out with soap. These people do nothing to unite Americans, but do everything to divide us.
To be noted: Saltsman’s candidacy for national party chair is endorsed by Huckabee and fellow Tennessean Bill Frist, the former Senate majority leader.
