Looking for a new Camcorder

We've been looking for a new Camcorder and believe me, there's a lot of new models, so plan to spend some time looking if you ever need one. From DVD types, Hard drive types and a top end HD High Definination types. From what I've learned today, you'll need to do your homework before you spend your money. I kind of like the JVC's with a built in hard drive, but what I don't like is, they copy directly onto a hard drive, the more hard drive space depends on the price. Hard drive space goes form 7 hours to 14 hours. Once you load up the hard drive, you then need to offload your video to an external hard drive, which will cost you an extra $50.00. Here's the deal, the Hard Drive types are on their way in, while the others are on their way out, so they don't give you much choice! Once you buy either, the clock starts ticking and you can be sure that the camera (or computer) you just purchased will be obsolete before you know it. So keep your check book handy, you're going to need it again soon!
