Love your kids, love one another...
It's raining here in Michigan today and this is the last day before Tiana has to return to school. I know that she has to go back, but at the same time I love to have her with me. Maybe that's a little selfish on my part, but I love her so much that wherever she goes without me, a little piece of my heart goes with her. In this day and age we spend less and less time with one another, especially here in America where we have to make every dollar count, and for the most part, it takes two incomes just to survive. In turn we spend a lot less time with our children, something the Philippines has over us. When I do get the chance to be with our children, I like to take full advantage of the time. I have raised one child, a son, by a former marriage and I know just how fast the time can go by. When you realize that they have grown up, then it's too late to go back and enjoy that time again. So the bottom line, enjoy your small children now, as they are only small once, and you only get one chance to be with them at this age. Each day they become older, and although you can't see it, changes were made to their tiny bodies as they slept. Before you know it, they're as tall as you are, and you'll wonder where all the time went! Don't let another minute go by without taking the time to hug your children and tell them how much they mean to you. You get only one chance and one chance only to get it right Mom and Dad. Saying "I LOVE YOU" is a wonderful way to end each day and begin another. Wherever you are, whoever you are, Ana and I want you to know that "we care about you" and wish you all the best in this New Year!

Rick, I'm touched by your words. I almost cry to recall so many times my kids being neglected by me because I'm so busy looking for some money.

Thank you. We tend to forget the ones that mean the most to us, don't we? We make time for so many other things in life, but just can't seem to find the time for our children, a heartbreaking reality of life in the 21st century. Thank you again for your comment.
