I'm glad it's over!
Did you make it through the holidays in one piece? I hope so. We had our ups and downs but for tho most part came out okay. We tried to limit our spending and bought mostly for our kids, my son and his friend Bill. We gave money to Ana's people in the Philippines, (something that is in short supply over there). We had a nice ham dinner and enjoyed the day. I really hate to say this, but I'm so glad that it's all behind us now. I'm looking forward to spring so I can get some things done on our house.
Ana wants to bring her brother over on a tourist Visa but I'm not too sure that they'll approve it. Many visitors have come over and when it was time to leave, they didn't go back. So now our government frowns on giving Visas to Filipinos. I guess many people from third word countries would do the same thing given the chance. Who wants to back into poverty? Can you blame them?
I guess that young man that killed five people while driving drunk is in big trouble. He'll spend most of the rest of his life behind bars, I guess that's the only bars he's be seeing for a very long time! I hope you all learned a lesson by what happened to him. They should make him attend all the funerals he created as part of his punishment too. No excuses, drive drunk and kill...pay up with your life!
