It's supposed to rain with sleet today here in the Detroit area but Ana wants to go out and look for some earrings anyway. She wants to take advantage of the after Christmas mark downs while they last. Some places are offering a 70% discount! So now you know what I'll be doing today.

Are you ready for New Years? I hope that all of you that plan to attend a party will remember to have someone drive you. From what I'm hearing, the Police will be out in force to arrest drunk drivers! Don't think that you can escape my friends or you'll find yourself in the jail house! How would you feel if you killed or mutilated someone just because you chose to drive drunk? You could be sitting in a prison somewhere with the rest of your life to think about it! Bottom line, don't drive if you plan to drink alcohol. Like I've said before, I want you guy's back here reading my Blog next year, no excuses!

The search engine community has a new kid on the block,and this kid is set to kick some "butt"! I know what you're saying, yeah right,another search engine, well my answer to you is...just wait a darn minute and listen. Everything evolves, and search engines are no exception. Remember, any car will take you to where you want to go, it's how you get there that's important. As for me, I like to travel in style, so I drive a BMW! I don't know about you, but I'm sure glad that Christmas comes only once a year! Anyway, my son (Tim) and his friend "Bill" came over for dinner,we had a good time. Tiana and Hannah had a great time too playing with their new toys, all and all it was a nice get together.

In our family this doesn't happen very often. I didn't hear anything from one of my sisters, I have two, no card....nothing. So I don't know what was going on with her. After my mother passed away my older sister contracted TB and spent all of her teenage years in the hospital. The other one went from home to home and finally married a guy, to get herself off the street! I went from one family to another myself and finally was raised by an Aunt. My childhood was bazaar to say the least. Believe me, it's a wonder that we're all still here! This is why our sibling connection is not very strong, Life is life and you won't find any tears here. People have to accept the hand that they're dealt and go with it. I'm sure that we can find many people who had a harder time of it than us.

Last day of school until next year...

Boy, I don't know about you, but I'm just about pooped out with all this rushing around stuff, trying to get everything done before Christmas comes. We finally put up our tree (I didn't think that we'd ever get it up)and now we have to shop for the Christmas meal. Every time I tried to do something, another thing came up and a lot of things just got pushed aside! Wow, what a headache.

Today was Tiana's last day of school until after new years, so she'll have plenty of time to play will her new Christmas toys. She's getting most of the things that she wants, her main present is another Cell Phone to replace the one that she lost in Chicago. Santa saw to that!
So how about you, do you still have things to do, or are you better organized than I am? LOL I try, really I do, but if you were married to someone like Ana who can think of (several things for me to do all at once), then you'd be in trouble just like I am! Somehow everything seems to work out in the end,. but I am glad that Christmas comes only once a year! Hurry up "spring"!

Christmas dinner & shopping

Well, we finally put up our Christmas tree! LOL Ana still has to finish it but for the most part it's up. Anyway, we still have some shopping to do, so we will be out and about for the next few days trying to finalize everything. I think that we've decided to get a Spiral Cut Hunny Ham for Christmas dinner, so I have to go and pick one up real soon otherwise we may not get one. What are you having for Christmas dinner? Just think of all the great food that people will enjoy all around the world on Christmas day! Wow, anyway we also are looking forward to all the football games and seeing old friends. Did I tell you that my friend "Van" from Los Angeles came to visit us? Yes, and we had a great time seeing him again. It was too bad that he couldn't stay for Christmas dinner but he had to go back to work, oh well, maybe next time.

Christmas tree and snow

Have you put up your Christmas tree yet? I must admit that we have not do to not shampooing our carpet on time. Every time we decide to clean it something comes up and it doesn't get done. As for me, I'm looking forward to spring so I can go outside again without a coat. LOL Yes, I hear that we will have more of the white stuff this Saturday, how wonderful! Did I say that? Duh....

I see that Iran has received nuclear fuel from Russia, our old "pals". Surely they're not STILL trying to make a bomb...right? How STUPID we are to believe that they really stopped enriching uranium back in 03! I just can't believe our intelligence people. You know how accurate they were with Saddam Hussein's WMD and how efficient their intelligence was when we were hit on 9/11! The CIA has become a bunch of Keystone Cops, and I'm sure that the Iranians know it too. So how can we believe them with this latest information? Bush is most likely right and we'd better not let our guard down. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Israel bombed the crap out of them one of these days. If there ever was a need for a regime change, it's this one in Iran. The people don't like them and the rest of the world can't afford to trust them. All they want to do is see the destruction of Israel, and nothing less will do. What kind of people are they when they deny the Holocaust happened anyway? How long have these guys had their heads buried in that big sand pile that they live in? Duh....

For all who love Dogs, I want to post about a unique website. Snow, snow and more, brrrrr...snow!

I don't know how the weather is where you live, but up here in Michigan we were given a blast of old man winter at his best. We received the gift of about 10 inches of snow from him without the gift wrapping! If you live in Florida, right now I hate you! LOL Anyway, thank God that I bought that snow blower when I did, because it came in mighty handy. I will however look for another one next winter because I found out that the engine is too small for over four inches of snow. It shouldn't be a problem selling it on ebay because it's in very good condition. The man that I bought it from said that it's only four years old, and he didn't even use it last winter because he's now paying someone to clear his yard for him. The best size engine is a five HP four stroke. This one is has a two stroke engine and they're doing away with them because of pollution.

Did you guys see the story about the Chinese couple in the UK that had 2 million dollars left to them just for being "kind" to an old lady and her husband? That story reminded me of another similar story that happened to a friend of mine. This fellow that I'm referring to used to take an old man fishing with him once in a while because the old man seemed alone without anyone that cared about him. These fishing trips went on for a few years, then one day the old man passed away. Then one day the young man suddenly got a call from the old mans lawyer who informed him that the old man had left him $2,000,000.00USD for being kind to him! Bottom line, it pays to be kind to people. Remember, don't repay kindness...pass it on!

I heard that Chicago is in for some bad weather this weekend, so that must mean that Detroit will get some of it as well. Isn't it wonderful to have dreams like that? Anyway, back to reality. Snow is on the way with Santa not far behind. I still have shopping to do and I'll bet that you do too. Can we believe George Bush anymore? Darn good thing that we got the new intelligence information about Iran before Bush pulled another Iraq on us! Mr. Bush sure has that "cowboy" mentality. They had it all wrong the first time, so how can we believe this new information? What if Iran is secretly still working on a Nuke? What then? What if George has been right all along? It will be too late if they do get a bomb and we just let it happen. I hope that there is a follow-up on this "new information". You and I both know that these people cannot be trusted. I think that we should do as President Theodore Roosevelt once said; "Walk softly and carry a big stick"!

We just came home from Wal*Mart. We had to buy a few things for the house, boy the lines were long already. I just hate to stand in long lines, of course I really don't know anyone who does. Got my snow blower!

Some good "snow blower" news people! Yes, I have acquired a good "used" snow blower. I was the winner of a good used snow blower from eBay. The blower is a Craftsman about five years old and still in very good shape. I saved a lot of money too, only about $150,00 compared to at least four hundred dollars if I were to buy one new. These types of things I just hate to spend a lot of money on because you only use them once or twice a season, so they last a very long time with proper care.This blower has not been used for the past two years because the owner had been, so the his son took care of his yard for him. I think that I got a good deal, but only time will tell.
