Back to the pool!

Well my girls went swimming again at our local swimming pool and had a great time I must say. Tiana took her new pink Inner Tube to try out, and she just loved it. When Ana wanted to try it out, Tiana started to cry, I guess she thought that Ana was taking it away from her.The weather held up, even though it was supposed to rain, so everything worked out just fine. Hannah went into the water too, but we soon realized that it was just too cold for her. Ana dried her off and I held her and let her sleep while they played in the pool. When we went home, Tiana fell fast asleep. Did I say they want to go again soon? You bet they do!

Tiana turned 7 on July 18TH

Our oldest daughter "Tiana" turned 7 years old on July 18TH. It's hard to believe that she's that age already, as it seems like it was only yesterday that I saw her come into the world. It's nice to see her grow up, but at the same time a parent always wants to hold on to as many yesterdays as possible, I'm sure some of you know what I mean. Well,I've been trying very hard to locate a "Strawberry Shortcake" bicycle for her (this is what she wants for her Birthday) but so far, I have not been able to locate one. "Toys R Us" has discontinued selling them and the only place that I was able to find one was "on-line", but that store is currently out of them too. She thinks since I went "on-line" and located a store that sells them, that she'll be getting one delivered by the Mailman soon! Wow, this just kills me because, how can I disappoint my little girl? Bottom line, I CAN"T! So now I'm back looking and praying that I'll find one soon. If you have any ideas, please let me know.

My technorati ranking

I am claiming my blog here, so I can have my blog ranked by Technorati. It is necessary to have a rank according to Ana, so I am doing it. How amazing things work these days, all modern and complex. I can't even understand what I am doing half of the time, it it is not that my wife Ana, helps me out. She knows more than I do, and I am glad she is helping me. Anyway, let me get on with claiming my blog first for my Technorati Profile. I hope my rank will decrease soon enough in time for me to start blogging, joining my wife doing the paid blogging or sponsored blogging.

Hannah will be going to Chicago for a check-up

That's right, Hannah will be going to Chicago to be examined for her leg condition, so right now we can't say what will be done to help her condition. At least we have her headed in the right direction. When we have more information on this, we'll post it for you to read. Boy, it's not easy having a sick child, so any of you lucky enough to have a normal kid, be thankful, the other side of the coin could be many hospital visits and a heck of a lot of out of pocket expense.

Another thing I'd like to mention; my Grandson "Casey"who lives in Colorado Springs was hit by a car two days ago on his way to work. He rides his bike and was hit by someone who ran off the road, the driver did not stop and got away (so far). It wouldn't surprise me if it was someone who was talking on a cell phone as I myself have had similar close calls while riding my bike by cell phone users. Maybe it's time for all of us to realize that cell phones and driving just don't mix. Statistics have proven that people using cell phones while driving are the same as someone driving under the influence! If you must talk while driving, please use a Bluetooth.

Hannah goes to see the Doctor today

Well I hated to see this day come to tell you the truth. We have to take Hannah to see the Doctors at Shriners Hospital today so they can evaluation her leg condition. This poor little girl will most likely have to have many operations before this is all over with. Facing such a prospect for a parent is a heartbreaking experience to say the least. I hope none of you have to go through anything like this. Just in case you don't know, Hannah was born with an underdeveloped right leg. If left as it is, at full growth it would be five inches too short. Please pray for her, won't you?

It's Friday the 13TH!

Are you scared that something is going to happen to you today? Well don't be. This is just another day just the same as yesterday and tomorrow. Sure, things happen, but things happen everyday, just watch the news if you don't believe me. I've lived long enough to know that superstitions are just that..superstitions and nothing more. So if something does happen to you today, don't blame it on Friday the 13Th but realize that things happen to us all everyday all year long and superstition has nothing to do with it. Anyway, I'm going to walk under a ladder just to prove it to you....so here I go, "WOOSH!...BANG!.....SPLASH! "oh crap", why'd you leave the paint up there honey?! LOL

A day at the pool!

Hi everybody,

Yesterday I took Ana, Tiana and our new baby "Hannah" swimming at our local pool. The weather finally was cool enough, but it was very windy, so everyone got real cold when they got out of the water. This was Hannah's first experience going into a large pool but she seemed to like it just fine. Remember, she's just eight months old. Now Tiana, our seven year old, doesn't know how to swim so we put a swimsuit, with a "built in" life jacket on her to provide protection against drowning. Yep, you guess it, she strayed away and found herself in deep water. Had she not had the special swimsuit on, she would have been in real trouble. The Lifeguard (who was a very young girl) didn't realize that she was in trouble, until I yelled at her, "hey she doesn't know how to swim! The only thing you could see was Tiana face just above the water line trying to breathe! Even then this lifeguard responded very slowly. It was as if she didn't want to get wet jumping into the pool! I had noticed she seemed to be more interested in sun bathing rather than watching the swimmers before all this happened. Boy, the people they hire for lifeguards these days! I didn't complain, but maybe I should have, if anything ever happens again like this then they'll surely hear from me. Anyway, I hope that everyone is finally enjoying the cooler weather.
