Hi everybody,
Yesterday I took Ana, Tiana and our new baby "Hannah" swimming at our local pool. The weather finally was cool enough, but it was very windy, so everyone got real cold when they got out of the water. This was Hannah's first experience going into a large pool but she seemed to like it just fine. Remember, she's just eight months old. Now Tiana, our seven year old, doesn't know how to swim so we put a swimsuit, with a "built in" life jacket on her to provide protection against drowning. Yep, you guess it, she strayed away and found herself in deep water. Had she not had the special swimsuit on, she would have been in real trouble. The Lifeguard (who was a very young girl) didn't realize that she was in trouble, until I yelled at her, "hey she doesn't know how to swim! The only thing you could see was Tiana face just above the water line trying to breathe! Even then this lifeguard responded very slowly. It was as if she didn't want to get wet jumping into the pool! I had noticed she seemed to be more interested in sun bathing rather than watching the swimmers before all this happened. Boy, the people they hire for lifeguards these days! I didn't complain, but maybe I should have, if anything ever happens again like this then they'll surely hear from me. Anyway, I hope that everyone is finally enjoying the cooler weather.
