LED lights or incondescents?
The holiday season is almost upon us and many stores are already displaying Christmas lighting. If you’re still using those old out dated incandescent lights for your Christmas tree lighting, then maybe it’s time to think about replacing them with the newer, more efficientLED Christmas lights. LED lights burn cooler, use 80 to 90% less energy than the incandescent type and last a lot longer, so you can use them year after year without replacing them. You don’;t have to worry about your children burning their hands on them either, because they’re cool to the touch. LED lights are approved by the Home Safety Council. I know that most of us think of lighting just for Christmas but let me remind you that lighting can be used for many other occasions as well. Weddings, Birthdays and Halloween are also great times for LED lighting. Nothing spruces up an event like colorful lighting. Did you know that LED lighting comes not only in great colors but many different shapes as well? So the next time you plan a special event or just want to make your house stand out, think energy efficient LED lighting. There is one last thing about LED lighting that I want to convey to you. LED lights are good for our environment, they save a lot of energy, something we all need to remember. Just think of how much energy could be saved, if every house in America used LED lights! So do something good for the environment and replace those old incandescent lights with LED lighting. It’s also a good time to get your family thinking about using recyclable materials as well. Hopefully they will learn to recycle and conserve energy, not only during the holiday season but throughout their lives. It’s "cool" to conserve, so just do it!
